Study Tour
The Group organises an annual study tour located outside the UK. This normally lasts a week and consists of visiting fortifications in a region with the help of a local guide.
FSG Study Tour to Ireland 2013
This year's annual study tour will cover all the major fortifications in the Dublin area and many of those in Waterford, Cork and on the island of Berehaven in Bantry Bay. Members interested in this should see further details in the Member's section of the website.

Friday 17th May: Assemble at Kilpatrick Castle Hotel.
Saturday 18th May: Martello Tower 7, Dun Laoghaire East Pier Battery, Magazine Fort, Collins Barracks Museum.
Sunday 19th May: Duncannon Fort, Waterford Walls, Dungarvan Castle.
Monday 20th May: Fort Camden and Fort Carlisle.
Tuesday 21st May: Cork Harbour defences, Spike Island, Haulbowline Island.
Wednesday 22nd May: Charles Fort, James Fort, Ringaskiddy Martello Tower, Ballincollig Gunpowder Mills.
Thursday 23rd May: Bere Island fortifications.
Friday 24th May: Elizabeth Fort, Cahir Castle.
