The FSG started running 'Study-Days' in 2010 with the objective of enabling members to visit sites which are normally closed to visitors or otherwise difficult to access. In previous years the sites visited have been Flatholm Island and the Western Heights (including Drop Redoubt and the Citadel). The 2012 Study Day was held on the 9th of June 2012 and involved visiting Forts Blockhouse and Rowner in Portsmouth which are both not normally accessible by the general public. A report of this day can be viewed here.
