Publication Grants
The FSG may make grants (not normally exceeding £1000) from the Publication Fund to assist in the publication of books on subjects, which promote the general aims of the FSG. Authors should contact the FSG with details of their work and of the assistance requested.
Recent grants have been made for the publication of:
“Castle, Town defences and Artillery Fortifications in Britain and Ireland: a Bibliography 1945-2006” by JR Kenyon (2008)
“Ramparts of Empire” by T Crick (forthcoming)

Preservation Grants
A new grant has been recently introduced to assist those struggling to preserve and maintain their fortifications. Grants (not normally exceeding £1000) from the Preservation Fund may be made to assist in the preservation of fortifications falling within the area of interest of the FSG.
The first grant has recently been made to the St Helen National Trust for work on High Knoll Fort.
